Makran Transporters Stage Sit-In Against Extortion Mafia, Federal Agencies Accused of Taking Illegal Dues, Says Aslam Baloch

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – Aslam Baloch, President of the National Party Balochistan chapter, has alleged that transporters in the Makran region have been staging a sit-in for the past four days against an extortion mafia, but no action has been taken.
He claimed that after what he described as the imposition of a “puppet government” in Balochistan, extortion networks have been openly looting the province. According to him, numerous checkpoints have been established in the name of maintaining peace, making life difficult for transporters.
Baloch further alleged that from the border areas to major cities, various institutions are collecting illegal payments on diesel and petrol. He claimed that at locations including Hingol National Park and Kund Malir Beach, hundreds of liters of fuel are allegedly being siphoned off from vehicles and sold in makeshift markets.
He demanded that the government immediately accept the transporters’ demands and remove all checkpoints operated by the Frontier Corps (FC), Coast Guards, and other federal agencies across Balochistan.
