World’s Longest Wild Snake Discovered in Indonesia

Islamabad — The world’s longest wild snake, a giant python, has been discovered in Indonesia.

Guinness World Records has confirmed that the snake, found in the Maros region of Indonesia, holds the record for being the longest wild snake in the world. Verification shows that the python measures 23 feet and 8 inches in length.

The snake is currently under the care of a wildlife conservation organization. Diaz Nugraha and natural history photographer Radu Frentiu are overseeing its care. They revealed that they began searching for the snake after hearing rumors about its existence.

The giant python has been named **Ibu Baron**. Typically, an adult python ranges between 9 and 19 feet in length. These snakes primarily feed on smaller animals but are capable of swallowing larger prey, such as deer and crocodiles, due to their highly stretchable jaws.

While it is rare for pythons to attack humans, occasional incidents have been reported. The discovery of Ibu Baron highlights both the scale and power of these remarkable reptiles in the wild.
