PIA Signs Major Cargo Partnership with Air France–KLM

Karachi: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has entered into an important cargo partnership agreement with global aviation group Air France–KLM, marking a significant development for the national carrier’s freight operations.
The cargo agreement came into effect on January 15. Under the deal, PIA Cargo will gain access to Air France–KLM’s extensive global network, enhancing Pakistan’s connectivity with key international markets.
The partnership is expected to substantially improve the export of Pakistani products and their access to global destinations. Exporters will be able to use the combined PIA and Air France–KLM networks under a single air waybill, simplifying logistics and reducing operational hurdles.
Through this arrangement, PIA Cargo has been linked to the Air France–KLM network via transit hubs in Dubai, Riyadh, or Dammam.
The expanded network includes major European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Düsseldorf. Key US destinations, including New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, are also part of the network.
The agreement is being viewed as a major step forward in strengthening the cargo capabilities of the national airline and boosting Pakistan’s international trade links.
