Fire Breaks Out at Karachi’s Saddar Mobile Market, Rescue Operations Underway

**Karachi:** A fire erupted at the mobile market in **Saddar, Karachi**, on Thursday, prompting a swift response from rescue and fire services. Rescue teams have evacuated all individuals from the building, while efforts continue to control the blaze.

According to **fire brigade officials**, three fire trucks are engaged in firefighting operations. **Rescue 1122** confirmed that a **snorkel** was deployed to rescue people trapped inside the building. The fire reportedly started on the **seventh floor**, which houses a parking area for vehicles, and multiple cars were engulfed in flames.

**Mayor Karachi, Murtaza Wahab**, directed authorities to prioritize the safety of civilians and to accelerate the rescue operation. He stated that all available resources are being used to bring the fire under control as quickly as possible.

Earlier, association official **Omar Arif** reported that some people were trapped in the 15-story building and confirmed that the fire had spread from one car to others in the parking area on the seventh floor.

**Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah** has requested a report from the commissioner regarding the incident, emphasizing that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the government’s top priority. He also directed an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and hold responsible parties accountable.
