CM Sohail Afridi Claims Attempts to Link Him to May 9 Incidents Amid Political Targeting

**Peshawar (Qudrat Daily):**
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has stated that after various attempts to undermine him politically failed, efforts are now being made to associate him with the May 9 cases.

In a statement, Afridi said that initially, attempts were made to obstruct his election as Chief Minister, followed by false allegations of drug trafficking and smuggling. Later, efforts were made to link him to terrorists, and his home constituency was subjected to forced displacement to politically damage him.

He emphasized that his name is not involved in any May 9 case, but now, “when all other attempts failed, efforts are being made to drag my name into the May 9 cases.” Afridi added, “The entire nation knows that the CCTV footage was stolen by those who orchestrated May 9. Instead of conspiring against me or PTI, these people should sit with Pakistan’s true representative, Imran Khan, to address the crises they themselves have created and work toward lasting peace in the country.”
