PDMA Issues Advisory for Heavy Rains in Balochistan

Quetta:The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an advisory regarding a new spell of heavy rains expected in Balochistan. According to the advisory, severe rainfall is anticipated from August 2 to 6 across various divisions, including Makran, Sibi, Quetta, Zhob, Loralai, and Qalat.

The PDMA warns of potential hazards such as lightning strikes, flooding in rivers and streams, and the likelihood of a flood situation. There is also a risk of damage to crops, communication roads, electrical installations, and solar panels. The advisory advises tourists and travelers to avoid unnecessary travel during this period to ensure safety.
