PTI’s Salman Akram Raja Urges Dialogue, Warns Against Actions That Could Harm Pakistan

Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has called for dialogue and cautioned against any actions that could harm Pakistan. Speaking to media representatives outside the High Court, he emphasized the need for prudence and engagement.

Raja referred to the enthusiastic reception given to Suhail Afridi in Karachi, saying it reflects growing public awareness that the country is heading in the wrong direction. He stressed that the people of Pakistan now have the right, granted by the Constitution, to voice their concerns and fight their own cause. “We have already presented our case before the public,” he said.

He criticized the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments for undermining the judiciary and urged that dialogue is essential. “If people are unjustly imprisoned, how will the country progress?” he questioned, adding that history will ultimately make its judgment and individuals must decide how they want to live.

Raja further stated that those currently in power must sit with the public to resolve issues, warning that continued mismanagement could harm Pakistan. He highlighted the lack of development and investment in the country, holding current authorities responsible for the future.

Expressing regret over the delay in appointing opposition leaders, Raja said Mahmood Khan Achakzai should be named Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, while Raja Nasir Abbas should assume the role in the Senate. He urged the Speaker to complete these appointments without further delay.
