Journalist Naeem Hanif Issues Public Apology to Saba Qamar After Rs 100 Million Legal Notice

Renowned journalist **Naeem Hanif** has publicly apologized to actress **Saba Qamar** following the issuance of a **Rs 100 million legal notice** over defamatory claims.
During a podcast, Naeem Hanif admitted that on **November 3** his platform had shared a report alleging that Saba Qamar was living in a house gifted by her boyfriend and was allegedly in a live-in relationship. He acknowledged that after further investigation, the claim was found to be **false and completely contrary to the facts**.
Hanif stated that the report was incorrect and caused emotional distress and damage to the actress’s reputation. He formally apologized to Saba Qamar for the hurt caused by the publication.
Earlier, Naeem Hanif had made claims regarding Saba Qamar’s alleged relationship with an individual, stating that she lived in a house provided by him on Walton Road, Lahore, during **2003–2004**. He had also alleged that after the relationship ended, the individual began harassing the actress, and that Saba Qamar had approached the Jang office regarding the matter.
Saba Qamar strongly rejected all such allegations, calling them **false, baseless, and defamatory**, and initiated legal action by serving Naeem Hanif with a **Rs 100 million defamation notice**.
Following the legal notice, Naeem Hanif had earlier stated that he was prepared to face criticism and would present further facts at an appropriate time. However, in his latest statement, he acknowledged the error in reporting and issued a public apology to the actress.
