Farah Yousuf Responds to Rumors About Relationship and Separation from Iqrar-ul-Hassan
Lahore: Pakistani journalist and digital content creator Farah Yousuf has addressed circulating rumors regarding her relationship and alleged separation from her husband, renowned anchorperson and politician Iqrar-ul-Hassan.
Speaking on a podcast hosted by Rehan Tariq, Farah Yousuf clarified her stance on the speculation that has been widely shared on social media and video platforms. She dismissed claims suggesting that Iqrar-ul-Hassan had left her, calling such narratives misleading and driven by the pursuit of online views.
Farah Yousuf, who began her journalism career in 2007 as a news anchor on a private television channel and later worked with PTV Home and other networks, is currently active on YouTube, where she hosts vlogs and podcasts on a range of social and personal topics.
She shared that her relationship with Iqrar-ul-Hassan has grown stronger over time. “We are closer than ever and very comfortable with each other. I tease him, cook for him, we watch films together, and sometimes go on long drives when reminiscing about the past,” she said.
Describing the foundation of their marriage, Farah emphasized the importance of respect and friendship. “Every relationship needs friendship. In a marriage, respect should come first, followed by friendship, and then love,” she added.
Addressing separation rumors, Farah said that whenever she searches YouTube, she comes across numerous videos falsely claiming that she and her husband have parted ways. She criticized the use of inappropriate and sensational headlines, saying some were so offensive that she did not wish to repeat them.
“They say Iqrar-ul-Hassan has left me. If you want views, at least choose better words,” she remarked, adding that such misinformation is not limited to her alone. She cited examples of similar false reports about actor Muneeb Butt and fabricated news about the deaths of senior personalities circulating online.
Farah Yousuf is the second wife of Iqrar-ul-Hassan. He was previously married to Qurrat-ul-Ain, with whom he has a son, and later married Aroosa Khan.
