Pakistan Railways Inaugurates Another Upgraded Train on Lahore–Narowal Route

Lahore: Pakistan Railways has inaugurated another upgraded passenger train, marking a further step toward improving travel facilities for commuters. The inauguration ceremony was held at Lahore Railway Station, where Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railways Inamullah formally launched the upgraded Narowal Passenger train along with senior railway officials.
Prayers were offered for the progress and development of Pakistan Railways at the occasion, while the train was decorated with colorful garlands, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. DS Railways also inspected various coaches of the upgraded train and interacted with passengers to inquire about the facilities being provided.
The Narowal Passenger departed Lahore Railway Station on schedule at 7:15 am. The train travels via Badami Bagh, Shahdara Bagh, Kala Khatai, Narang, Mitha Sooja, Budhomalhi, Raiya Khas, and Pejowali, reaching Narowal at 10:05 am.
Similarly, the return service departs Narowal at 5:00 pm, stopping at Pejowali, Raiya Khas, Budhomalhi, Mitha Sooja, Narang, Kala Khatai, Shahdara Bagh, and Badami Bagh before arriving in Lahore at 7:40 pm. For passenger convenience, the total travel time between Lahore and Narowal has been set at 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Passengers expressed happiness at the inauguration. Speaking on the occasion, DS Railways Inamullah said the upgraded Narowal Passenger is a gift for the people of Narowal under the vision of Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi, adding that continuous measures are being taken to facilitate passengers.
Senior officials present at the ceremony included Divisional Transportation Officer Syeda Marzia Zahra, Divisional Commercial Officer Abdullah Arshad, Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Samira Rana, Divisional Mechanical Engineers Atif Ashfaq and Muhammad Imran, Divisional Electrical Engineer Muhammad Nasir, Divisional Executive Engineer Abdul Rehman, and Station Manager Zafar Iqbal.
