Job Scam in Islamabad: Unemployed Youth Defrauded of Millions on False Employment Promises

Islamabad: Dozens of unemployed individuals were allegedly defrauded of millions of rupees in a job scam in the Khanna Pul area of Islamabad, where fraudsters lured victims with fake employment offers.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the accused published job advertisements in newspapers and invited unsuspecting applicants to Islamabad. Interviews were conducted at the office of a company identified as MARS BPO, located in the Khanna Pul area.
The FIR states that candidates were charged Rs6,000 each in the name of training. After the so-called training, the accused demanded Rs1.4 million from each applicant as a “guarantee.” Dozens of young men from Mardan fell victim to the scam, with the suspects allegedly collecting a total of Rs4.2 million while failing to provide any jobs.
When the victims demanded the return of their money, they were allegedly threatened with violence and death. A case has been registered at Khanna Police Station, and an investigation is underway. However, no arrests have been made so far.
According to the FIR, individuals associated with a company identified as Tains have allegedly been deceiving hundreds of people across the country by offering fake job opportunities.
