Shahid Khattak Denied Entry to Lahore Cantt? PTI’s Claim Exposed as False

Islamabad (Daily Qudrat) – A recent social media claim by senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahid Khattak, alleging blocked routes and obstructions in Lahore Cantt, has been widely debunked as false propaganda. Observers and social media users have raised serious questions about the accuracy of his narrative.

In a viral video, Shahid Khattak claimed that he attempted to visit the residence of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and PTI leader Husam Niazi in Lahore Cantt, but was allegedly prevented by the Punjab government. Khattak stated that all roads leading to Lahore Cantt were blocked and that even a sitting provincial chief minister could not meet his party workers.

However, viewers noted several contradictions in the video. Footage shows the location where Khattak claims roads were blocked, yet no barriers or obstructions are visible, casting doubt on his account.

Social media users also pointed out that Khattak had claimed just ten days earlier that he broke his leg outside Adiala Jail, sharing plastered leg images and videos online. Questions have emerged over how he could suddenly recover fully and participate actively in PTI protests in Lahore within such a short span.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government clarified that Section 144 was in effect across the province due to security concerns. Officials stated that these measures were aimed at preventing potential terrorist threats and maintaining law and order, noting that some PTI workers have previously engaged in provocative activities.

Critics say that inconsistencies in Khattak’s claims and previous statements have weakened PTI’s narrative, sparking renewed debates over the credibility of social media claims. Such statements not only confuse the public but also risk damaging political credibility.
