Quetta Local Bodies Elections: Monitoring Teams Remove Prohibited Campaign Material to Enforce Code of Conduct

**Quetta:** Ahead of the 2025 local bodies elections in Quetta, district monitoring officers have removed prohibited campaign materials from various areas of the city following violations of the election code of conduct. The Election Commission’s monitoring teams are actively ensuring full compliance with the code.
Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Siyal emphasized that any violations will result in immediate legal action. All candidates have been instructed to strictly adhere to the election code of conduct.
Polling for the Quetta local bodies elections is scheduled for December 28, 2025, while, under Section 182 of the Election Act 2017, the election campaign will officially end at midnight on December 26. After this deadline, no candidate is permitted to conduct election-related activities. Violators may face up to two years in prison, a fine of one hundred thousand rupees, or both.
