Balochistan Food Authority Cracks Down on Unsafe Food, Fines 15 Outlets in Dukki; Operations Conducted in Four Districts

**Quetta:** To ensure the supply of safe and high-quality food, the Balochistan Food Authority conducted inspections across multiple districts, including Quetta, Panjgur, Dalbandin, and Dukki. During the operation in Dukki, 15 food outlets were fined for selling adulterated milk, substandard bakery products, and other unsafe food items.

The crackdown targeted 2 meat shops, 4 milk vendors, 2 baking units, 4 general stores, and 3 hotels. Samples collected from various shops revealed adulteration in milk with water and dry powder. Additionally, violations of standard operating procedures were observed in hotels and bakeries, while expired spices, biscuits, juices, cold drinks, children’s food, and banned Chinese salt and gutka were confiscated and destroyed from general stores.

The Food Authority spokesperson stated that operations against substandard and hazardous food will continue under a zero-tolerance policy, and strict legal action will be taken against violators. The public was urged to assist the authority by reporting unsafe food to ensure effective protection of public health.
