PIA Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Saudi Arabia as Oxygen Masks Deploy Mid-Air

Lahore: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after a technical fault was detected during the journey, causing oxygen masks to deploy inside the aircraft.
According to PIA sources, Flight PK-860 was en route from Jeddah to Lahore carrying more than 350 passengers when the pilot received a technical warning signal. The pilot immediately contacted air traffic control and, as a precautionary measure, diverted the aircraft.
Due to the technical issue, the flight was safely landed at Dammam Airport. During the emergency landing, oxygen masks were automatically deployed above passengers’ seats. The aircraft was carrying more than 381 passengers at the time.
Emergency protocols were activated at Dammam Airport, and all passengers were safely disembarked after landing. PIA management arranged an alternative aircraft, which has been dispatched from Pakistan to transport the stranded passengers to Lahore.
