Private Extortion Posts Established on Quetta-Chaman Highway, Police Inaction Leaves Public Unsafe: Qila Abdullah

**Qila Abdullah:** Armed groups have reportedly set up private extortion posts at multiple points along the Quetta-Chaman Highway in Qila Abdullah district, openly demanding money from passing vehicles.
According to sources, these anti-social elements, active from Syed Hamid Cross to Zarra Band, are also involved in thefts during nighttime hours. Residents and social circles have expressed deep concern over the situation, urging the Balochistan Inspector General of Police, Deputy Commissioner, and Commissioner of Quetta Division to take immediate action to protect the public from these armed groups.
No action has yet been taken by the police, leaving local citizens feeling unsafe and fearful. Social activists warned that the government’s authority is being openly challenged and that without immediate law enforcement measures, the situation could further deteriorate.
