Imran Khan’s Sisters Stage Protest Near Adiala Jail Over Denied Meeting

ISLAMABAD – The sisters of **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan**, along with PTI Chairman **Barrister Gohar Khan**, staged a **sit-in near Factory Checkpoint outside Adiala Jail** after being denied permission to meet him.

The scheduled **visiting hours at Adiala Jail ended without allowing the meeting**, prompting the protest. Police stopped Imran Khan’s sisters at the checkpoint. **Alima Khan**, leading the group, instructed party workers to remain calm and maintain distance, emphasizing that they had **no conflict with the police**, whom she called “our brothers.”

Alima Khan said that the **meeting had been repeatedly denied** despite her sister refraining from political discussions during the last visit. She questioned under whose orders Imran Khan was being held in solitary confinement, highlighting that they had been visiting for the past month with the purpose of seeing him.

The protest included **PTI members of the National Assembly Junaid Akbar, Shahid Khattak, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet members Meena Khan and Shafi Jan**. The route to Adiala Jail was blocked, with **heavy police presence** at the checkpoint.

Meanwhile, **Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar** stated that due to **legal restrictions**, there is **no possibility of a meeting** with Imran Khan, emphasizing that the denial is based on law, not personal choice.
