No Tolerance for Spreading Chaos or Criticizing Institutions, Says Talal Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, has strongly criticized the PTI, warning that no one will be allowed to spread disorder or speak against state institutions.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Chaudhry remarked that the recent PTI rally in Peshawar revealed the party’s true nature, which consisted mainly of abuse and criticism. He added that criticizing Pakistan’s institutions has become a habitual practice for the party.
He said even the Pakistan Army, which defeats enemies in the battlefield, was targeted for criticism during the rally. Chaudhry accused PTI leaders of trying to reach power by riding on others’ shoulders, noting that even former PTI officials frequently make baseless attacks on national institutions.
Chaudhry also criticized PTI founder Imran Khan, claiming that he never spoke against Israel, made no remarks against India, and never raised his voice on issues of martyrs, education, or health.
He further stated that the entire government machinery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is being used against the federal government, and any misuse of state resources will no longer be tolerated. Highlighting recent political setbacks, he questioned how those who failed in Haripur elections expect to compete in Lahore and Faisalabad.
The minister emphasized that everyone must face the consequences of their actions, and institutions will continue to operate according to the Constitution and law. He added that state resources will be used solely for maintaining law and order, not for spreading unrest.
Chaudhry concluded by stressing that those engaging in lawlessness must be clearly shown the rule of law, and the practice of criticizing institutions must end.
