Peshin Conference on December 2 to Commemorate 52nd Anniversary of Khan Shaheed, Reinforce Pashtun National Movement

**Quetta:** Senior leaders of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party, including Senior Deputy Chairman and former Senator Raza Muhammad Raza and Provincial President Nasrullah Khan Zare, have announced that the district-level conference in Peshin on December 2 will mark the 52nd anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai and the 34th anniversary of Pashtun leader Mira Khan Mandokhel. The conference aims to reinvigorate the historic struggle of the Pashtun national movement with renewed determination.

Speaking at the monthly district committee meeting in Quetta, the leaders emphasized the importance of organizational discipline, strategic planning, and ideological foundations to strengthen the party’s efforts toward national and community revival. The meeting included presentations from regional secretaries, review of organizational performance, and planning of future initiatives.

The leaders praised the organizational groundwork laid by national martyr Usman Khan Kakr, noting that the party continues to grow on this strong foundation with robust public support. They highlighted the legacy of past leaders, including Abdul Rahim Khan Mandokhel and others, stressing ongoing efforts to fulfill their mission and vision.

Despite government interference in local elections and alleged unfair practices by the Election Commission, party officials assured that the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party will participate actively, urging supporters to vote for the party’s candidates under the election symbol “Grapes.” They emphasized that local government institutions form the backbone of democracy, recalling the historic 16-day hunger strike by Abdul Rahim Khan Mandokhel for municipal representation in Quetta.

The conference is expected to galvanize party members and the public, reinforcing their commitment to democracy, public rights, and the Pashtun national cause.
