Islamabad Court Extends Pre-Arrest Bail of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Multiple Cases

Islamabad:** The District and Sessions Court on Monday extended the pre-arrest bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the May 9 and other related cases.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard six separate cases filed against the former prime minister, including those related to the May 9 incidents.
Due to Imran Khan’s non-appearance, arguments on the bail petitions could not be presented. The court directed that Imran Khan must appear either in person or via video link at the next hearing.
After the proceedings, the court extended the pre-arrest bail of both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until December 23, restraining authorities from arresting them during this period.
The hearing was subsequently adjourned till December 23.
Imran Khan faces multiple charges, including those related to the May 9 riots, attempted murder, and alleged fake receipts. Bushra Bibi is also accused in a case involving alleged submission of fake receipts.
