Why Did Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan Consider Divorce Soon After Marriage?

Lahore: Popular social media personality Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan has revealed that shortly after her marriage, she briefly considered divorcing her husband, Haris Khokhar, due to intense public criticism and online backlash.

In a recent interview with Wasi Shah, Dr. Nabiha shared that the wave of social media attacks immediately after her wedding placed her under severe mental stress. She described this period as one of the most challenging phases of her life, saying she never imagined that moments of happiness could turn into such painful experiences.

She further stated that the pressure became so overwhelming at times that she thought about ending the relationship. During the interview, Dr. Nabiha became emotional and broke into tears, explaining that the unwarranted criticism from a handful of people turned her happiest moments into distressing memories. She added that only she truly understands the pain she went through.

Dr. Nabiha recently married her close friend Haris Khokhar, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her life. Their nikah ceremony was held at the residence of renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil. However, the event soon became the center of controversy on social media.

Yousaf Jamil, son of Maulana Tariq Jamil, also commented on the situation, stating that Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan behaved inappropriately by not considering who was officiating the ceremony. He said she should have refrained from singing, music, and excessive videography at the venue.

Earlier, videos of Dr. Nabiha had gone viral in which she claimed her bridal dress cost Rs10 million and her jewelry Rs15 million. She later clarified her remarks, saying her tongue slipped in a moment of excitement.
