KP Chief Minister Criticizes Non-Implementation of Court Orders, Says He Will No Longer Call PM for Imran Khan Meeting

Rawalpindi: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister **Sohail Afridi** has strongly criticized federal authorities for failing to enforce court orders, stating that he will no longer contact Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding a meeting with PTI founder **Imran Khan**.

Speaking to the media, the KP Chief Minister said that despite **clear directives issued by three judges**, officials on the ground, including an SHO, claim they “have not seen the order.” He questioned how institutions could expect respect when they fail to implement their own decisions.

Afridi said:
“**If institutions do not enforce their orders, then they should not blame us.** My frustration is only because the Constitution and law are not being followed. I am not using any unconstitutional language. I have the right to speak firmly when orders are being ignored.”

He said he had initially requested the Prime Minister to facilitate a meeting with Imran Khan but after the response he received, he believes it is no longer useful:
“**If someone has no authority, then what is the point of talking to them?**”

**KP’s Financial Dues and Governance Issues**

Afridi demanded that the federation treat the province as an equal unit of the federation and release over **Rs 3 trillion** in outstanding dues. He said that if these payments are made, KP can bridge its development gap.

He also expressed concern over the federal government’s actions against him, stating that despite acting within the Constitution, an **FIA case** has been filed against him and his name placed on the **Passport Control List**.
“I know them very well; they do not know me entirely,” he remarked.

### **Security and Counterterrorism Policy**

The Chief Minister said intelligence-based operations in KP have never stopped, with over **14,000 IBOs** conducted. He stressed that terrorism still exists in the province and requires a united and transparent policy outside closed-door discussions.

Afridi said KP is not against counterterrorism operations but criticized civilian casualties:
“If terrorism hasn’t ended in 20 years, then the policy must change. We know the policy shift we are asking for can bring peace to Pakistan.”

### **Remarks on Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s Statement**

Responding to comments by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Afridi said he was unaware of any such matter, adding that Achakzai may have spoken from experience. He said the party’s founder had assigned Achakzai his responsibilities and organizational workers would follow that structure.
