27th Constitutional Amendment Proposes Expansion of Provincial Cabinets and Increase in Number of Advisors

Islamabad: The proposed **27th Constitutional Amendment** includes a recommendation to expand the size of provincial cabinets and increase the number of advisors in each province.
According to the draft, the **provincial cabinet size** would be raised from the current **11 percent to 13 percent** of the total strength of the provincial assembly. Additionally, the **number of advisors** allowed in each provincial cabinet would increase from **five to seven**.
Political analysts believe the move aims to **maintain political balance** and **appease coalition partners** by accommodating more representatives within provincial governments.
