CM KP Sohail Afridi Criticizes Punjab Government: “Maryam Nawaz Didn’t Congratulate Me, She Stopped Our Wheat Supply

*Islamabad (Qudrat Daily)* — Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa **Sohail Afridi** has criticized Punjab Chief Minister **Maryam Nawaz**, claiming that while other provincial leaders congratulated him on assuming office, **she neither extended greetings nor allowed the release of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, resulting in a flour shortage in the province.

Speaking to the media outside **Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi**, Afridi said, *“Chief Ministers of Balochistan and Sindh, as well as the Governor of Sindh, congratulated me, but not Maryam Nawaz. I didn’t know every congratulatory message needed a press release.”*

The KP Chief Minister added that he was **nominated by PTI founder Imran Khan** and should be allowed to meet him to receive policy guidance. *“Don’t ask me why I couldn’t meet him — ask why I’m being stopped from meeting him,”* he asserted.

Afridi accused the federal government of **governing through coercion rather than constitutional supremacy**, adding that the **Corps Commander** had personally visited him to offer congratulations.

He further stated that he would respond to questions about the **mega corruption scandal** once his cabinet is formed and confirmed that his government is **filing a contempt of court petition** over the denial of a meeting with Imran Khan.
