Las Youth Festival to Showcase Lasbela’s Culture, Traditions and Local Talent,’ Says Deputy Commissioner Hameera Baloch
**Uthal (Kudrat Daily):** Deputy Commissioner **Lasbela Hameera Baloch** has said that the upcoming **Las Youth Festival** will serve as a milestone event to **promote the district’s culture, traditions, handicrafts, and local youth talent**. She added that for the **first time**, such a large-scale **cultural and recreational festival** is being organized by the Lasbela district administration.
She expressed these views during a meeting with **Chairman District Council Lasbela Sardar Abdul Rasheed Phorai**, **Vice Chairman Sardar Ghulam Farooq Sheikh**, and chairmen of various union councils. The participants were given a detailed briefing about the **“Las Youth Festival 2025”** and invited to take part in the event.
Among those present were **UC Jam Yousufabad Chairman Haji Abdul Sattar Jamot**, **UC Ahura Chairman Sher Muhammad Shahok**, **UC Sakan Chairman Muhammad Ali Achra**, **Chairman Ghulam Nabi Shahok**, and **Muhammad Hussain Namani** along with other local leaders.
Talking to journalists and local representatives, **DC Hameera Baloch** said that the festival invites **public participation from all walks of life**, including **students, youth, and elected representatives**, making it an event symbolizing **unity and regional identity**.
She revealed that **local artists and singers** from Lasbela will perform at the festival, while **80% of the stalls** will be set up by **local individuals and organizations**, showcasing **handicrafts, food corners, cultural products, and informational exhibits**.
The deputy commissioner added that the aim of the Las Youth Festival is to **establish it as an annual district tradition**, providing a sustainable platform to **promote local talent and highlight Lasbela’s cultural identity across Balochistan**.
Additionally, **DC Hameera Baloch** chaired a meeting with heads of departments at the **District Council Hall**, where she reviewed the festival’s arrangements and preparations in detail.
