Illegal Immigration a ‘Highly Sensitive Issue’ for Pakistan, Says Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

ISLAMABAD:Federal Interior Minister **Mohsin Naqvi** has said that **illegal immigration is an extremely sensitive issue for Pakistan**, emphasizing the government’s commitment to tackling the problem through strict action against the networks involved.

He made these remarks during a meeting with **Poland’s Deputy Minister of Interior** at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad. **Minister of State Talal Chaudhry** and **Pakistan’s Ambassador to Poland Muhammad Sami** were also present at the meeting.

During the talks, both sides discussed **bilateral relations** and **matters of mutual interest**, agreeing to enhance **government-to-government cooperation** to further strengthen ties. The two ministers also reached an understanding to boost collaboration in areas including **illegal immigration control, border security**, and **mutual legal assistance**.

Minister Naqvi reaffirmed that Pakistan is conducting a **comprehensive crackdown on mafias involved in human smuggling** and expressed the government’s intention to **strengthen the Coast Guards** to ensure the protection of **maritime borders**.
