Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court Rejects Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s Video Link Attendance Request
Islamabad:Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court has rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s request to attend court proceedings via video link from Adiala Jail. The court stated that according to Shah Mahmood Qureshi himself, traveling from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to Lahore is very inconvenient, and thus the request to complete attendance via video link is accepted.
Rejecting Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s application, the court ordered his personal presence in the criminal case trial. The Anti-Terrorism Court for Counter Terrorism in Lahore instructed the IG Jail to transfer Shah Mahmood Qureshi from Adiala to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Judge Khalid Arshad of the Anti-Terrorism Court issued a two-page order.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago, the Anti-Terrorism Court had charged Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the May 9 Incitement Case.
