TikToker Samia Hijab Abduction Case: Accused Confesses in Court

ISLAMABAD: In the alleged abduction and robbery case of TikToker Samia Hijab, the accused Hassan Zahid confessed to the crime before the District and Sessions Court Islamabad.
The Islamabad police presented the suspect before Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood Chaudhry. When questioned by the judge about the threats and abduction, Hassan Zahid admitted his guilt, saying, “Sir, I made a mistake.”
Police requested an eight-day physical remand, citing the recovery of a vehicle, pistol, and cash. However, the court granted a five-day remand and handed him over to police custody.
It may be recalled that a case had been registered against Zahid at Shalimar Police Station for harassing and threatening Samia Hijab with death. According to the FIR, the accused had been stalking her for days, pressuring her with repeated gifts.
The TikToker further stated that on August 31 at around 6:30 p.m., the accused attempted to forcibly take her from outside her home, openly threatening revenge and death. She had also uploaded a video on social media and provided CCTV footage to police, which led to the registration of the case and subsequent investigation.
