Maya Ali Says She Won’t Marry Just to Silence People
Lahore: Renowned Pakistani actress **Maya Ali** has said that she will never marry under societal pressure, stressing that marriage should be a personal choice, not a response to people’s constant questioning.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Maya Ali opened up about the pressure women face regarding marriage. She said: *“We should not marry just because people keep asking why we aren’t married yet.”*
The actress added that society often tries to push women into marriage by saying they are getting older or by insisting that happiness in life requires a life partner.
Calling marriage a **serious decision between two individuals and two families**, Maya Ali said the most important factor is the relationship itself. *“The day I meet someone with whom I feel that bond, I will marry him—but I can never marry just because of pressure,”* she emphasized.
She further added that, like all other aspects of life, **marriage is ultimately Allah’s decision**, and it will happen only when it is destined.
