Indian Actress Lakshmi Menon Named in Kidnapping and Assault Case of IT Professional

Mumbai: Popular Malayalam actress Lakshmi Menon has been named as a prime accused in a kidnapping and assault case involving an IT professional in Kerala’s Kochi city.

According to Indian media reports, the shocking incident came to light after videos of the altercation went viral on social media, sparking controversy and leading to the actress being booked in the case.

The trouble reportedly began at a bar on Banerjee Road in Kochi, where an argument broke out between the actress’s friends and the victim. Later, while the IT professional was driving home, the accused intercepted his vehicle near North Bridge and allegedly harassed him.

Police said the victim was forcibly taken in another vehicle to an undisclosed location, where he was allegedly assaulted.

So far, police have arrested three individuals in connection with the case, including a close associate of Lakshmi Menon.
