Imran Khan Decides Not to Contest By-Elections with Pre-Determined Results: Salman Akram Raja

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that PTI founder Imran Khan has decided not to contest any by-elections where the results are pre-determined.

Speaking on Geo News program *Capital Talk*, Raja said that Imran Khan had directed the party to resign from all standing committees and boycott by-polls that lack transparency.

According to Raja, Khan emphasized that the greatest power lies in spiritual and moral strength, while physical force is the weakest form of power.

Raja further said his meeting with Imran Khan was a legal right since he represents him in multiple cases. However, he noted that Khan’s family had been denied meetings for the past three to four months. He added that some important legal consultations were scheduled but were postponed after court hearings were delayed.

The PTI leader claimed that the party is now more organized and stronger than before, despite raids on members’ houses and frequent arrests. “We withdrew from parliamentary committees because we refuse to be part of this farce,” he added.

Calling the current system “built on lies,” Raja said that real elections cannot be held without transparency in the vote count process. “In Pakistan, the only prevailing law is the law of coercion,” he remarked.

On the flood situation across the country, Raja said the nation must unite to confront the natural disaster affecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other provinces. However, he accused the government of not being serious about easing political tensions despite the calamity.
