National Unity Council Urges PM to Convene APC for Anti-Terrorism Strategy, Strong Stance on Palestine and Kashmir

Islamabad:The Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) Pakistan has called on Prime Minister to convene an All Parties Conference (APC) at the national level to formulate a unified strategy for the eradication of terrorism and restoration of public order. The council emphasized the need to resolve the issues of Balochistan, ensure the recovery of missing persons in accordance with the Constitution and law, and uphold provincial rights over mineral resources and agricultural lands.

The council stressed that the Council of Common Interests (CCI) — a constitutional body — must be made functional to resolve federal-provincial disputes. It also urged the government to revoke any un-Islamic legislation in accordance with the rulings of the Islamic Ideological Council.

The MYC warned that political problems must be resolved politically, or else democracy, judiciary, parliamentary system, and Islamic values will be undermined. The council expressed concern over the deteriorating internal situation, noting that growing sectarianism and official bias are harming national unity.

In the joint communiqué, the MYC praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their bravery and tactical success in recent conflict with India. The statement declared that the entire nation stood united above all differences during the confrontation, while global support — particularly from China and Muslim countries — played a key role in countering Indian aggression and enhancing Pakistan’s international image.

The council also expressed strong solidarity with the people of Palestine and firmly rejected the Abraham Accords and any imposed two-state solution, calling it an injustice. It reiterated that Pakistan’s people will never recognize Israel. Similarly, the ongoing atrocities in Indian-occupied Kashmir, including the killing of civilians, arrests of leaders and workers, and human rights violations, were condemned as a disgrace for international institutions.

The MYC hailed the resilience of Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of American and Israeli aggression, congratulating the Iranian leadership and people for their steadfastness and asserting that access to nuclear energy is Iran’s sovereign right.

Furthermore, the council welcomed the improvement in Pakistan-Afghanistan relations and appreciated China’s role in regional diplomacy. It called for the resolution of mutual grievances between the two nations through dialogue, recognizing the deep historical and cultural ties between the people of both countries.

The National Consultative Meeting was presided over by Dr. Sahibzada Abu Al-Khair Muhammad Zubair. Senior leader Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi hosted the session, with special participation from Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Other key participants included Liaquat Baloch, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Allama Shabbir Hassan Maisami, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, and others.
