Karachi Weather: Partly Cloudy with Chances of Light Rain Tonight; Rain Forecast Across Various Regions of Pakistan

According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi will experience partly cloudy skies today with humid conditions. Light rain or drizzle is expected at night, which may bring some relief from the heat.
The current temperature in Karachi is recorded at 30°C, with a heat index reaching up to 35°C. Over the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 35°C, while the minimum will drop to 28°C. Winds are blowing from the southwest at 16 km/h, and humidity levels are at 77%.
Air quality monitoring agency AQI reports that Karachi’s air quality is satisfactory, with particulate matter (PM) levels at 63, posing no health risks to the general public.
Meanwhile, rain is forecasted in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Upper regions may experience showers during the next 24 hours, and scattered light rain is expected in the plains during the night. Peshawar is likely to remain hot and humid during the day. The highest temperature in the province yesterday was recorded at 40°C in Bannu.
The Meteorological Department advises citizens to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to sunlight due to humid conditions. In case of rain, residents are urged to stay in touch with local authorities for updates on drainage and traffic conditions.
Moreover, Islamabad and surrounding areas can expect thunderstorms with heavy winds and rain during the evening or night. Similar weather is predicted for Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, and Gujranwala.
Heavy rainfall is also forecasted for northeastern Punjab and the Pothohar region. Low-lying areas of Lahore, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Faisalabad may experience waterlogging due to rain.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, evening thunderstorms with rain are expected, while strong winds and rain are forecasted in parts of Balochistan, including Barkhan, Zhob, Musa Khel, and Sibi.
Some areas of Sindh, particularly Sukkur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Larkana, may also see scattered rain showers.
The Meteorological Department has warned that dust storms and rain in various areas could damage weak and dilapidated structures. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions and avoid staying in open areas or near electric poles during such weather conditions.
