Pakistan Hockey Team Threatened by RSS; Olympians Demand Relocation of Asia Cup Due to Security Concerns

In a disturbing turn of events, the **RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh)**, the extremist Hindu nationalist organization linked to India’s ruling party, has escalated its provocative actions against Pakistan, this time targeting the **Pakistan Hockey Team**. After previously involving itself in cricket-related tensions, the RSS has now used its **social media platforms** to openly threaten the players of the Pakistan hockey team.

The organization has been posting **pictures of Pakistani hockey players**, accompanying them with threats, creating a heightened sense of insecurity. In light of these threats, **Pakistan’s Olympic hockey players** have voiced serious concerns about their safety and have demanded that the **Asia Cup Hockey tournament**, scheduled to be held in **Rajgir, India** starting **August 27**, be moved to another country.

### **Security Concerns Raised**

The **Pakistan Hockey Federation** (PHF) has aligned itself with the Olympians’ request, stating that if India cannot ensure the **team’s safety**, the event should be relocated to a safer venue. This concern is amplified by the history of threats directed at Pakistani athletes during international events in India, especially from fringe groups like the RSS.

### **Government’s Position**

In response to these security concerns, **Chairman of Youth Program**, **Rana Mashood**, speaking to **Geo News**, confirmed that while the Asia Cup is scheduled to take place in India, the **Pakistani government** will thoroughly assess the security situation. He assured that if the safety of the players is not guaranteed, the **Pakistani team** will not be exposed to unnecessary risks.

Mashood also made a bold statement, referring to Pakistan’s previous victory during **Operation Sindoor**, where Pakistan successfully defeated India on its own soil. He expressed the **Pakistan hockey team’s** desire to replicate that success by defeating India in their own country.

### **Conclusion**

The call to relocate the **Asia Cup Hockey tournament** comes after escalating tensions and threats against Pakistani athletes. As the tournament nears, **Pakistan’s government and sports officials** are under immense pressure to ensure the safety and well-being of their players, given the serious nature of these threats from extremist groups.

The decision on whether the event will proceed in **India** or be shifted to another country will depend on further assessments and diplomatic discussions.
