Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Expresses Concern Over Border Trade Suspension, Calls for Immediate Restoration

Quetta:Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, the leader of the National Party and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, has expressed deep concern over the suspension of border trade, which has plunged the people of Balochistan into a severe economic crisis. He stated that the government’s unwise decision is not only eliminating employment opportunities but also contributing to an increase in poverty, unemployment, and social unrest in the region.
Dr. Baloch emphasized that the economy of most districts in Balochistan is closely linked to border trade, and the impact of its suspension is not only economic but also has negative social and psychological consequences. He pointed out that in many parts of the world, border trade is organized for public welfare, but in Balochistan, the suspension of trade is pushing the people further into hardship.
The National Party leader also expressed his support for protests demanding the resumption of border trade in Turbat, stating that immediate restoration of the trade is crucial for the economic stability and sustainable peace of Balochistan. He reiterated that the National Party will continue to raise its voice at all levels to protect the economic rights of the people.
Dr. Baloch called on the government to take urgent steps to restore the trade, ensuring that the people of Balochistan are provided with economic security and a better future.
