Father Publicly Disowns Extremist Son, Declares Full Support for Anti-Terror Efforts

Islamabad: In a powerful rejection of extremism, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly those affected by the violence of militant groups, are standing firmly against terrorism. A resident of Kot Isa Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, has made headlines by publicly disowning his son, who has reportedly joined the ranks of the Taliban.
The father of Siddiq, now referred to as Siddiq al-Khariji (the Outsider), released a viral video message in which he clearly stated that he has severed all ties with his son due to his involvement in terrorism.
“My son Siddiq is aligned with the Taliban. Whether the army arrests him or kills him, I have no objection. I don’t want to see him again, and I will not attend his funeral,” he declared.
In a firm tone, the father added, “He is dead to me. I have no relation with him.” He went on to say, “If he doesn’t respect my white beard, why should I care for him? If the government wants to take him, they are free to do so.”
This emotional and unequivocal statement is being seen as a strong public stance against militancy and a reflection of growing community support for anti-terrorism efforts in the region.
