Karachi Shaken Again by Earthquake Tremors; 22 Quakes Reported Since Sunday

Karachi:Earthquake tremors were once again felt in various parts of Karachi, including **Qaidabad, Shah Latif Town, and Bhains Colony**, raising concerns among residents. According to the Seismological Center, the **magnitude of the latest quake was 3.1**, with a depth of **80 kilometers**. The **epicenter** was located approximately **10 kilometers east of Malir**.

Residents reported the tremors as **intense**, though **no loss of life or property** has been reported so far.

This incident adds to a **series of seismic events** that have affected the city since Sunday, with a total of **22 tremors** recorded so far. The most recent prior tremor occurred on **Tuesday at 11:51 AM**, registering a magnitude of **2.0** at a shallower depth of **10 kilometers**, with its epicenter **23 kilometers east of Malir**.

Chief Meteorologist **Ameer Haider** explained that the **Landhi fault line** is currently active and going through a **normalization phase**, which is causing these repeated low-intensity tremors. He warned that **minor earthquakes** may continue for the **next week**, but there is **no immediate threat** of a major seismic event at this stage.

Authorities have advised residents to remain calm, stay alert, and follow safety protocols in the event of further tremors.
