Colombo:The final of the **ATF South Asian Under-12 Tennis Championship** between **Pakistan and host nation Sri Lanka** ended without a result due to rain, and both teams were declared **joint champions**, sharing the gold medal.
The title clash, held in **Colombo**, began with promise as Pakistan’s **Rashid Ali** convincingly defeated Sri Lanka’s **V. Vithanurine** in straight sets, **5-4, 4-0**, giving Pakistan an early lead.
The second and decisive match was underway between **Pakistan’s Muhammad Shayan Afridi** and **Sri Lanka’s Amara Singhe**, with both players having won one set each when **rain interrupted play**. With weather conditions making it impossible to continue, officials declared both countries **co-champions**.
