PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui Challenges PTI Over No-Confidence Move and Alleged Negotiation Offers

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui has openly challenged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), suggesting that if the party brings a no-confidence motion, it may lose its own members instead of weakening the government.
In a recent statement, Senator Siddiqui questioned PTI’s intentions behind calls for dialogue and negotiations. “If ‘give and take’ doesn’t mean a deal, bargaining, or an NRO, then what does it mean?” he asked. He further added, “What does the founder of PTI even have left to offer in such a deal?”
Referring to PTI’s previous stance, Siddiqui said the party has not yet clarified what it wants, who should talk, and with whom. “They ran away from negotiations before, and they might do it again,” he remarked.
He reiterated his stance by saying, “Let them bring a no-confidence motion — not from our side, but PTI’s own members will be fewer in number.”
This comes a day after PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, called for open dialogue with authorities. Speaking to the media, she said, “Sit with us and tell us what the PTI founder should do and what you want in return for his release. Don’t talk from behind the scenes — come forward.”
She added that PTI is ready to engage in talks. “If there is to be give and take, let us know what needs to be given and what is expected in return.”
The exchange highlights ongoing political tensions, with both sides accusing each other of doublespeak and lacking clarity on negotiations.
