Adnan Siddiqui Shares Harrowing Mid-Air Experience During Stormy Flight

Lahore: Renowned Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui has opened up about a terrifying experience aboard a private airline flight that was caught in a severe storm on May 24. The flight, traveling from Karachi to Lahore, narrowly escaped disaster after being violently shaken by turbulent winds during landing.
The Fly Jinnah flight faced intense turbulence for several minutes as it entered Lahore’s airspace, with passengers screaming and reciting prayers in fear. The pilot, demonstrating exceptional skill and calm under pressure, aborted the landing and flew the aircraft back to Karachi after being redirected by air traffic control.
Among the passengers were former federal minister Asad Umar and actor Adnan Siddiqui, who later shared the emotional ordeal on his Instagram account.
“Somewhere between the skies of Karachi and the fields of Lahore, I felt suspended between paradise and the impermanence of life,” Siddiqui wrote. He described how what seemed like a routine journey turned into a life-altering moment that revealed the fragility of existence.
He detailed how the aircraft was jolted violently, with panicked passengers holding onto each other and some in tears. “Amidst the chaos, there was a silent realization—we were all at the mercy of a higher power,” Siddiqui reflected.
As the turbulence intensified, Siddiqui confessed that thoughts of his children and family consumed his mind. Clinging to the armrest of his seat, he focused on his breath, thoughts, and faith. “I prayed—not just for myself, but for all the strangers aboard this vessel riding the storm together.”
He recalled the terrifying moment when the plane was about to touch down but suddenly surged back into the air. “Salute to the pilot—what a brilliant decision, what presence of mind!” he wrote.
Despite the chaos around him, Siddiqui described a strange calm within himself. So much so, that he even drafted what he believed could be a farewell message. “Maybe it would have been read at my funeral or gone viral on social media. After landing, I read it again and deleted it. Every word came from the heart.”
Concluding his message, Siddiqui reflected on the deeper meaning of the experience. “When we landed, it wasn’t just the end of a flight—it was a divine blessing. A powerful reminder that life is painfully fragile, heartbreakingly brief, and incredibly sacred. It is a gift. Please don’t waste it. Keep your loved ones close. And in this moment, be grateful—for life and for another chance.”
It’s worth noting that several flights faced challenges landing in Lahore that day due to severe dust storms and high-speed winds.
