Karachi Kings Captain David Warner Praises Team’s Resilience After Victory Against Multan Sultans

Karachi:After leading **Karachi Kings** to a victory over **Multan Sultans** in their opening match of **Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10**, captain **David Warner** emphasized the team’s tactical approach and resilience throughout the game.
In a post-match media interaction, Warner expressed that the team had devised a clear strategy for the match, stating, **“We had already decided to adopt a strategic approach for this game. We were committed to not giving up, and we decided that even if we lost wickets, we would keep pushing for runs.”** He acknowledged that while the team performed well, they did give away some **extra runs** to the opposition.
Warner also commended the partnership between **James Vince** and **Khushdil Shah**, noting that even after both were dismissed, the remaining players showed great responsibility.
**James Vince**, reflecting on the chase, shared, **“It wasn’t an easy target to chase, but the pitch was very good. Our goal was to keep the run rate under control.”** He added, **“I did want to finish the game myself, but unfortunately I got run out.”**
**Irfan Munir**, another key player, expressed how the victory in the first match had boosted the team’s morale. **”The first match is always important for any team, and winning it has really lifted our spirits. It’s been great playing alongside players like David Warner and James Vince. I’m grateful to the management for putting their trust in me,”** he said.
