LESCO Punishes Officials Over Overbilling and Corruption Allegations

Lahore:The administration of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has imposed penalties on several officers in connection with overbilling and corruption charges.

According to a notification issued by LESCO, an Executive Engineer has been demoted to the position of SDO for one year, while three SDOs have been dismissed from their positions.

The notification revealed that Executive Engineer Saadat Siddique from Ferozewala, Grade 18, was demoted to Grade 17 and appointed as SDO due to his involvement in overbilling and corruption.

Additionally, SDOs Hafiz Taimoor Zakar from Mandi Usmanwala, Salman Samuel from Mustafabad Laliani, and Mohammad Usman were dismissed from their positions.
