Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Welcomes Decline in Inflation as Government Marks One Year in Office

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the news of a decrease in inflation as the government completes one year in power. In a statement, he expressed satisfaction over the continuous reduction in inflation, noting that the inflation rate has fallen to 1.5%, the lowest since 2015.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of the economic team, stating that economic indicators are improving every day. He emphasized that all institutions are working together to improve the economy, boost business, and encourage investment.

Shehbaz Sharif further stated that the benefits of macroeconomic improvements are beginning to reach the public. He expressed strong optimism that inflation would continue to decrease, highlighting that providing essential goods at lower prices remains the government’s top priority.

Meanwhile, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the inflation rate further dropped to 1.52% in February.
