Decision to Close Bus Terminals in Islamabad, Rawalpindi Withdrawn; Services Continue Normally

Islamabad: Authorities have withdrawn the decision to shut down bus terminals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, confirming that all transport hubs are now fully operational.

Earlier reports had suggested that major bus stands in areas such as Faizabad, Pirwadhai, and Karachi Company would remain closed from 11 pm until April 26. However, the district administration has denied these claims, calling them baseless and misleading.

Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema clarified that no orders were issued to close any bus terminals in Rawalpindi. He urged the public not to rely on unverified information circulating on social media.

Officials stated that all intercity and interprovincial transport services are continuing as usual, and there is no disruption to operations.

The administration reassured citizens and transporters that there is no need for concern, emphasizing that relevant authorities are continuously monitoring the situation to ensure smooth and uninterrupted travel facilities.

Residents have been advised to follow official sources for accurate updates and avoid spreading or acting upon misinformation.
