Mian Javed Latif Criticizes PTI’s Negotiation Stance Amidst Al-Qadir Trust Case Decision

Islamabad:Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Mian Javed Latif has stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) only thought about negotiations when the verdict in the Al-Qadir Trust case was imminent. Speaking on a private TV channel, he criticized PTI for making false claims that they were enduring punishment for the supremacy of the constitution, while simultaneously negotiating with those they referred to as “traitors” and begging from people they had called “unfit” for office.
Latif expressed disbelief at PTI’s contradictions, saying, “It is impossible that you invite the very countries you once criticized, asking, ‘Are we their slaves?’ and now you are seeking their assistance.”
He further claimed that PTI was forced into negotiations due to external pressure and that the idea of dialogue arose specifically when the Al-Qadir Trust case verdict was approaching. He also expressed his willingness to support the formation of a judicial commission but under the condition that it begin from 2014, the time when powerful figures allegedly pressured the judiciary to impose unfair sentences.
