Chief Minister of Balochistan Announces Significant Increase in Funds for Local Government Bodies Based on Performance

Sui: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sardarfaz Baloch, on a one-day visit to Sui, inaugurated the new office of the Sui Municipal Committee on Monday. The Chairman of the Municipal Committee Sui, Izzatullah Baloch, and local elders warmly welcomed the Chief Minister upon his arrival.
During his speech, Chief Minister Baloch emphasized the importance of active local government bodies and stated, “We aim to ensure the functionality of local government institutions. We have decided to significantly increase the funds for these institutions, based on their performance.” He further added that resolving public issues at the local level would reduce the need for people to travel to the provincial capital, Quetta, which can often be burdensome.
“Most of the people’s problems are local in nature, and by empowering municipal bodies, we can address them more effectively. A strong local government will also reduce unnecessary pressure on the provincial machinery,” he explained.
The ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister Mir Asim Kurd Galu, Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, and other key officials. As a token of appreciation, Chairman Izzatullah Baloch presented a souvenir to the Chief Minister at the event.
