PTI Leaders Decide to Send White Paper Against Central Leadership to Imran Khan
Islamabad: Following the crackdown by security forces on the D-Chowk protest, internal rifts within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have deepened. According to sources, party leaders have decided to prepare a white paper criticizing the central leadership and send it to party founder Imran Khan.
Several PTI leaders, including Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja, have leveled accusations against the central leadership, claiming that their names are listed in the FIRs, while Barrister Gohar consistently avoids accountability.
Haleem Adil Sheikh, during a core committee meeting, demanded an explanation about the mysterious figures behind the central leadership, asking, “Who are their spiritual guides or who is giving them amulets? We are being named in FIRs, but the central leadership remains untouched, while it is the workers who are being trapped.”
In response, Shoaib Shaheen humorously remarked, “Tell us, too, and we will also get amulets from there.”
The core committee members held the central leadership responsible for the escalating tensions, criticizing Barrister Gohar for not being present on the ground and failing to play a leading role during the crisis.
An audio statement by Ali Muhammad Khan also surfaced, in which he questioned why the rest of the leadership was not informed about ongoing negotiations with authorities. “If negotiations were underway, why were the other leaders kept in the dark?” he asked.
The internal discord within PTI seems to be intensifying as leaders express frustration over their treatment and the lack of transparency from the party’s central leadership.
