Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Calls for Unity to Combat Terrorism and Regional Threats

Quetta:Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, the central secretary of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP), has raised alarms over increasing threats to Pashtun resources and territories, calling for a collective response from all tribes and political parties in the region. In an exclusive interview with *Urdu News*, Jogezai emphasized that no single tribe or political group could face the growing challenges alone, particularly the rising wave of terrorism and instability in the region.

“We are witnessing a new storm brewing in our region, and our resources are being taken away. Terrorism is being imposed on us, and the situation is deteriorating,” said Jogezai. He expressed deep concern over the lack of distinction between terrorists and ordinary citizens, with even uniformed personnel being caught engaging in terror activities. “The public is confused, and they cannot tell who the real terrorists are anymore,” he added.

In response to these mounting challenges, Jogezai revealed that the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party has decided to take a stand by uniting all Pashtun tribes and political factions. The decision to create a unified defense mechanism at the local and tribal levels was made in light of the increasing security threats. “We have decided to establish local councils and committees to ensure the protection of our people. We will take charge of our own security and make sure we protect our regions,” he affirmed.

Jogezai also stressed the importance of community vigilance and said, “We are urging the people to stay alert, keep an eye on outsiders, and inquire about their intentions. Whenever someone new arrives, the people should ask them who they are, why they have come, and what their purpose is.” This initiative is aimed at fostering greater community awareness and involvement in security matters, as local populations are often the first line of defense in combating terrorism.

The PMAP leader’s remarks come at a time when Pashtun regions are facing increasing instability, with terrorist groups exploiting the socio-political landscape. The party’s call for unity among tribes and political parties reflects a growing sense of urgency among Pashtun leaders to address the security and political challenges they face, and to ensure the safety and sovereignty of their communities.
