Quetta: Railway Employees Protest Against Demolition of Officers’ Bungalows
Quetta: Railway employees staged a protest at the Quetta Railway Station in response to the demolition of walls surrounding railway officers’ bungalows on Zarghun Road. The protest caused delays in the departure of trains including Jaffer Express, Bolan Mail, and Chaman Passenger.
Protesters expressed that the demolition of the bungalow walls by the QDP staff was unlawful and conducted without proper legal procedures. The incident occurred the previous day when QDP personnel demolished the walls of the officers’ residences, which led to the unrest among railway staff.
The protesting employees are demanding that the matter be addressed legally, as they believe the actions taken were beyond the authority of the concerned parties.
