Security Forces Foil Major Terror Plot in Gwadar and Gabd Border Crossing; 10 Terrorists, Including Woman, Killed: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have foiled a major terrorist plot targeting Gwadar city and the Gabd border crossing, killing 10 terrorists, including a woman, during retaliatory operations, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored group “Fitna al-Hindustan” attempted to carry out terrorist activities at the Gabd border crossing and in general areas of Gwadar district on October 22, 2026.
The statement said the attackers sought to target the very people they claimed to represent and undermine Balochistan’s development and prosperity.
Following the attempted attacks, security forces launched immediate clearance operations in Gwadar city and its surrounding areas to protect civilians and eliminate the threat.
10 Terrorists Killed in Fierce Exchanges of Fire
The ISPR said security forces thwarted the terrorists’ attempts to undermine the writ of the state and advance what it described as their misleading agenda.
During intense exchanges of fire at multiple locations, security personnel killed 10 terrorists, including a female terrorist.
One civilian embraced martyrdom during the attacks, while several vehicles were damaged, according to the statement.
The clearance operation was successfully completed without any casualties among security forces, the ISPR added, saying peace and the writ of the state had been restored in the affected areas.
ISPR Condemns Exploitation of Baloch Women for Terrorism
The military’s media wing strongly condemned the reported involvement of a Baloch woman in the attempted terrorist activities, describing it as a serious crime against the state and an affront to the dignity of Baloch women.
The statement said the use of women in terrorist activities exposed what it described as the exploitation of Baloch women for propaganda purposes, aimed at inflaming public sentiment and giving a false sense of legitimacy to the terrorists’ campaign.
According to the ISPR, such tactics run contrary to Baloch and Islamic traditions, which accord women great respect and dignity.
It further said the people of Balochistan had consistently rejected those who shed blood in their name and would continue to expose what it described as deceptive propaganda.
Counterterrorism Operations to Continue Under Azm-e-Istehkam
The ISPR reaffirmed that the counterterrorism campaign would continue at full pace under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
The statement said security forces and law enforcement agencies remained fully committed to eliminating terrorism backed and supported by foreign elements.
It added that operations would continue to protect citizens, maintain peace and stability, and prevent terrorist groups from undermining development and security in Balochistan.
The military reiterated its resolve to eliminate the threat of terrorism and restore lasting peace across the country.
